PSORIASIS

Psoriasis is a papulosquamous disorder of the skin, characterized by sharply defined erythematosquamous lesions. They vary in size from pinpoint to large plaques. At times, it may manifest as localized or generalized pustular eruption.

Causes- While scientists still do not fully know what causes psoriasis.

Immune Mediated - This means the condition is caused by faulty signals in the body’s immune system. It is believed that psoriasis develops when the immune system tells the body to over-react and accelerate the growth of skin cells

Genes - These genes determine how a person‟s immune system reacts. These genes can cause psoriasis or another immune-mediated condition.

Family History - Some people who have a family history of psoriasis never develop this condition. When both parents have psoriasis, the child may have a 50% chance of developing psoriasis

EKAKUSHTHA (PSORIASIS)

KUSHTHA includes wide spectrum of skin diseases.

Ekkushtha is one among the Ksudra Kushtha with the dominance of Kapha & Vata Dosha in particular and Rakta is vitiated in general in its pathogenesis, which is characterized by following sign and symptoms.

   -Spreading over  large area of body.                   
  - Erythematous and elevated skin lesion.

  - Round shape with silvery white scale.

Treatment:-

    1 अश्वकंचुकी रस त्रिफला क्वाथ से सुबह शाम

    2 आरोग्यवर्धनि वटी 2-2 गोली दूध से सुबह शाम

    3 पंचतिक्त घृत आधा चम्मच +मिश्री पाउडर + गो दूध  कुनकुना पीये ।

    4 निम्ब तेल लगाने के लिए प्रयोग करे ।
